Men's Golf: IU East at Hampton Farms Intercollegiate Day 2 Recap

AHOSKIE, N.C. - Sam Firebaugh led the Indiana University East men's golf team as the Red Wolves finished in a tie for sixth in the Hampton Farms Intercollegiate at Beechwood Country Club on Tuesday, April 7.

Firebaugh was just one shot from the top spot on the individual leaderboard in second place with a 74-72-74-220. Barton University's Ryan Jahr was the medalist at 75-71-73-219.

As a team, IU East improved in every round at 311-303-302-916 as the Red Wolves tied with Southern Wesleyan University (313-299-304-916). Barton won the nine-team affair with a score of 300-299-288-887.

Noah Mulford moved up six spots for the Red Wolves during the final round to record a 79-74-74-227 as he was tied for 15th. Landon True was next for IU East at 74-80-77-231 in a tie for 27th. Dare Bowles equaled Mulford rising six positions to finish in a tie for 44th at 84-77-77-238. Kylan Nash had an 87-86-83-256 to end in 61st.

The Red Wolves are scheduled to return to action at the Lawrence Tech University Shootout at the Players Club in Yorktown on April 13-14.
