Men's Golf: Red Wolves Win LTU Shootout

YORKTOWN, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's golf team widened its advantage during the final round of the Lawrence Tech University Shootout as the Red Wolves claimed the team title on Tuesday, April 14.

Beginning the last 18 holes with a 10-stroke lead, the Red Wolves finished the 12-team event with their top score in the tournament to post a 292-296-291-879. The University of Rio Grande was second 18 strokes behind IU East at 302-296-299-897.

The Red Wolves had three players make the all-tournament team as Sam Firebaugh was the medalist with a 72-70-71-213.

Noah Mulford moved up two spots on the individual leaderboard as he finished second at 71-76-72-219. Landon True also jumped up six positions in the standings as he recorded the top round of the day for IU East to finish in a tie for third at 78-72-70-220.

Also playing for the Red Wolves were Dare Bowles (71-78-83-232, T20th), Ryan Craig (83-80-73-236, 29th) and Kylan Nash (88-79-78-295, T49th).

Tuesday's victory was the second of 2026 for the Red Wolves as IU East won the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational on March 22.

IU East has two events remaining on its schedule. First up is the Earlham College Spring Shootout at the Elks Country Club on April 18-19.

The River States Conference Championships are April 26-28 at the Glades Springs Resort in Daniels, West Virginia.
