CENTERVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Shawnee State University on Thursday, Oct. 5.
The Red Wolves are now 3-9-0 overall and 1-3 in the River States Conference. Shawnee State is 3-5-2, 2-1-1.
Shawnee State picked up its first goal at 40:45 as the Bears led the contest 1-0 at the intermission of the affair at Centerville High School.
Callum Coleman tied the match as he converted a penalty kick at the 64:01 mark. It was his team-high fifth score of the season.
The Bears answered with what turned out to be the game-winner at 65:14.
Alex Visscher had six saves in goal during the first half for the Red Wolves, while Peter Lamprou picked up two in the second period.
IU East welcomes WVU Tech to Eaton (Ohio) High School on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 4:30 p.m.
