CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio - Three goals in the first half provided a boost for the Indiana University East men's soccer team as the Red Wolves went on to a 5-1 victory over Ohio Christian University on Thursday, Oct. 19.
The Red Wolves are now 4-10-1 overall with a 2-4-1 mark in the River States Conference. Ohio Christian is 0-11-3, 0-6-2.
Jake Erbse scored the twice to give the Red Wolves an early advantage with Kep Ceu assisting on the first one and Callum Coleman helping on the second.
Dillon Gross added the third goal of the opening period with an assist from Tyree Hyman.
In the second half, Ceu made it 4-0 as Erbse assisted on the play. Vince Brown picked up the final tally with an assist from Hoi Lian. Ohio Christian scored late in the contest.
Alex Visscher had two saves in goal for the Red Wolves in the first half, while Peter Lamprou had five stops in the second.
Next up for IU East is new conference opponent IUPUC on Saturday, Oct. 21. The affair at Eaton (Ohio) High school begins at 4:30 p.m.
