Tennis: Red Wolves Play in Anderson

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Indiana University East tennis teams took on Anderson University on Friday, Oct. 10.

The Ravens won both the men's and the women's matches with a score of 6-1.

For the men, the No. 1 Doubles team of Andrea Klaric and Sachin Vanaraja took down their opponents 6-3, but the Red Wolves unfortunately couldn't secure another victory in doubles.

In singles play, Klaric also took a hard-fought victory 6-2 4-6 10-5 to give IU East its lone point.

Lauren Miller secured the lone point for the women at No. 5 singles beating Anderson's Kate Oberle 6-3 6-3. Brooke Schafstall and Gracie Helms both lost heartbreakers in 10-point tiebreakers.

Following their match against Anderson, the IU East women play St. Mary's College. The Red Wolves were swept in both singles and doubles play, losing the match 7-0.

Both teams will finish the fall season as they face off against Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee on Saturday, Oct. 18.
