Indoor Track & Field: IU East at RSC Championships Recap

LOGAN, Ohio - Indiana University East track and field teams had one champion as the Red Wolves competed in the 2024 River States Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 17.

Overall, both IU East teams finished in sixth place out of 11 squads. Point Park University won both team championships.

Cameron Nocton repeated his performance from last season as the winner of the 3,000-meter Race Walk, while others earned all-conference honors by finishing in the top three of their events.

Having already qualified for the NAIA National Meet in two weeks, Nocton set an IU East record with a time of 13:35.21 on the track inside the Chieftain Center.

Teagen Rodriguez, Brooke Sudhoff, Cassandra Schrubb and the women's 3,200-meter relay team each finished third to make the All-RSC squad.

Rodriguez set a school record in the 1,000 meters with a time of 4:24.01. Sudhoff matched her season best effort in the pole vault by clearing 3.02 meters. Schrubb posted an 18:57.13 in the 5,000 meters.

Julia Arruda, Sarah Marshall, Anna Johnston and Hannah Best made up the women's 3,200-meter relay team that had a time of 10:43.01.

IU East's RSC Champions of Character were India Benton and Connor Nease.
