Outdoor Track: IU East at Asbury Invitational Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East track and field teams travel to Kentucky for the Asbury University Chick-Fil-A Invitational on Friday, April 10.

Friday's events begin at noon in Asbury's Gray Outdoor Venue. The javelin is the only event scheduled for today.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* IU East's women won the JennaStrong Track & Field Invitational at Wilmington College, while the men finished second last weekend.

* Tristan Thomas and Mackenzie Rohde were named the River States Conference Track Athletes of the Week for their performance in Wilmington.

* Thomas anchored the winning men's 400-meter relay team of Antaviyon Reed, Jaiden Crowell and Miguel Mendez Jr. with a school record time of 41.76 seconds. He also won the men's 100 in 11.06 seconds.

* Rohde ran the final leg of the women's 400-meter relay that was victorious with a new IU East standard of 49.17 seconds with Audrey Harper, Vanessa Temple and Esther George. She set another new mark in winning the women's 400 in 58.34.
