Outdoor Track: Nocton All-American at NAIA National Championships
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Cameron Nocton highlighted the final day of the 2026 season for Indiana University East as he became an All-American for the sixth time in track at the NAIA National Championships on Thursday, May 21.
Nocton was fourth in the men's 5,000-meter race walk with a time of 21:23.58 at the Karl Straus Track on the University of North Carolina-Asheville campus.
Overall, Nocton is a seven-time All-American at IU East as he won the NAIA Marathon last fall to earn the honor helping the Red Wolves take the team championship. Nocton split his All-American finishes in the race walk with four times coming outdoors and two indoors. Alex Rost also competed in the men's race walk and did not finish.
Sarah Perry ended the women's 5,000-meter race walk in 14th place posting a time of 31:05.40 to follow up her 13th place finish during the indoor season in the 3,000-meter race walk. Makenzee Kahn participated in the event, but did not finish.
Earlier in the day, Thomas Hogan finished 20th in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:33.90 in his first appearance in the outdoor national meet.
