IU East Announces Update with Men's Volleyball Program

RICHMOND, Ind. – IU East Athletics has announced that head men's volleyball coach Bruno Amorim da Silva's contract will expire at the end of the 2026 season. 

"We want to thank Bruno for successfully launching our first men's volleyball team," Associate Athletic Director Nick Fortini said. "Bruno has a great volleyball mind and has been a great mentor for our student-athletes. We wish him the best of luck in his future coaching opportunities."

Along with being the head coach for the men's volleyball team, Bruno is an assistant coach for the Indy Ignite, a professional women's volleyball team in Indianapolis. He has since climbed the ranks, first starting out as a volunteer coach before being promoted to assistant coach in just two years.

The search for the second head coach in the program history will start immediately.
