Men's Volleyball: IU East 3, Midway 0

RICHMOND, Ind. - Beginning a stretch of seven straight home matches, the Indiana University East men's volleyball team started with a 25-22, 25-17, 25-12 victory over Midway University on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

With the River States Conference win, IU East is now 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the league. Midway falls to 2-12 and 0-3.

After winning the opening set, the Red Wolves fell behind early in the second.

IU East responded to the challenge by taking the set before putting the match away in the third.

Arthur Barreto led the Red Wolves with 10 kills. Vinicius Lopes finished with nine kills, while Jael De La Cruz added eight kills. Brayden Richardson handed out 22 assists.

Defensively for the Red Wolves, Judah Davis had six blocks and Esiah Philistin-Lynch had four. Francis Rivera Agosto led the squad with six digs.

Next up for the Red Wolves is the University of Rio Grande on Saturday, Feb. 28. The RSC affair on Lingle Court gets underway at 4 p.m.
