Men's Volleyball: Rio Grande at IU East Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's volleyball team welcomes the University of Rio Grande to Lingle Court on Saturday, Feb. 28.

The River States Conference match gets underway at 4 p.m.

After a 25-22, 25-17, 25-12 victory over Midway University earlier this week, IU East is 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

Rio Grande enters the affair at 8-3 with a 1-1 mark in the league. The RedStorm dropped a 25-21, 25-16, 25-14 decision at Brescia University on Saturday, Feb. 21.

* This is the first contest of the season between IU East and the RedStorm. The two squads are scheduled to play at Rio Grande on Saturday, March 28.

* Arthur Barreto topped IU East with 10 kills in the win over Midway as Brayden Richardson had 22 assists.

* Also versus Midway, Judah Davis had six blocks and Francis Rivera Agosto recorded six digs.

* Otavio Tonoli led Rio Grande with seven kills at Brescia, while Camilo Murillo and Mitch Bartecki both had 11 assists.
