Men's Volleyball: IU East at Cumberland and Georgetown Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - Indiana University East men's volleyball team will continue to play on the road as the Red Wolves take a southern swing this week.

Both matches will be at River States Conference affiliate members for men's volleyball.

First up is Cumberland University in Tennessee on Thursday, April 2. The contest in the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena at 8 p.m. (IU East time).

On Friday, the Red Wolves visit No. 14 Georgetown College. That match in the Davis-Reid Alumni Gym starts at 6 p.m.

IU East is now 6-9 overall with a 4-6 mark in the conference after a 25-23, 25-22, 25-19 loss at the University of Rio Grande on Saturday, March 28.

Cumberland is 11-10 and 6-5 heading into today's league affair on the road against Midway University.

Georgetown is 15-7 and 10-2. The Tigers are coming off a 25-16, 25-16, 25-14 win at Rio Grande earlier this week.

* Vinicius Lopes led IU East with 14 kills and five digs against Rio Grande, while Arthur Barreto had six kills and Brayden Richardson finished with 20 assists.

* Michal Bak topped Georgetown with 11 kills against Rio Grande as the Tigers won their fourth straight.

* Joao Infante had 15 kills for Cumberland as the Phoenix upset No. 12 Reinhardt University 20-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-16 in Lebanon on Wednesday, March 31.
