Men's Volleyball: Weekend Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's volleyball team closes out its regular season at home with a pair of River States Conference contests this weekend.

The first match on Lingle Court is against Oakland City University on Friday, April 10. It gets underway at 6 p.m.

IU East will celebrate Senior Day versus Brescia University on Saturday, April 11.

The Red Wolves are 6-12 overall and 4-10 in the RSC after a 28-26, 28-26, 25-14 loss at No. 14 Georgetown College last week.

Oakland City is 17-9 and 8-6 as the Mighty Oaks are coming off a 25-13, 25-17, 25-23 over Midway University at home earlier this week.

Brescia is 10-14 and 5-9 as the Bearcats visit Midway on Friday.

* Seniors Arthur Barreto, Francis Rivera Agosto and Vinicius Lopes will be honored by IU East on Saturday 20 minutes prior to the match.

* Lopes led IU East with 14 kills against St. Mary-of-the-Woods. Brayden Richardson finished with 15 assists as Rivera Agosto had seven digs.

* Till Wiesenthal had 12 kills in Oakland City's win over Midway as Danilo Negrao had 31 assists with Kevin Pavione recording six blocks.

* Brescia's Malo Vandewalle had 12 kills to lead the Bearcats to a home 26-24, 27-25, 19-25, 25-23 victory over Oakland City last Saturday, April 4.
