Cross Country: Red Wolves Win in Kentucky
VERSAILLES, Ky. – The Indiana University East men’s and women’s cross country teams both won their respective races at the Midway University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The men’s team won the 8K race with 26 points as Mylan Nocton finished first overall with a time of 25:18.64. Tucker Burris finished third overall with a 26:01.85 time.
Teagen Rodriguez (6th, 26:31.15), Cameron Nocton (7th, 26.39.64), and Richard Bower (9th, 26:41.30) all finished in the Top 10.
Braden Coate finished in 17th place and a time of 27:19.14. Kyle Stanley (19th, 27:24.33), Wyatt Beck (21st, 27:58.52), Ian Davis (26th, 27:49.39), Ryan Schindler (39th, 29:08.26), Denis Kale (42nd, 29:17.62), and AJ Ludwig (63rd, 30:54.32) rounded out the Red Wolves.
In the 6K race, the Red Wolves earned 46 points, four ahead of IU Kokomo for the win on the women’s side.
Cassandra Schrubb topped the IU East runners with a fourth overall finish with a time of 24:33.21. Makenzee Kahn finished 11 seconds later in fifth place. Chloe Scales ended the race in seventh a time of 24:49.53. Brooklyn Miras (18th, 26:07.09), Rylee Raymond (23rd, 26:38.71), Julia Arruda (25th, 26:53.98), Maddy Wolf (27th, 26:59.81), Abby Page (30th, 27:11.04), Sarah Kwiatkowski (28:09.98), Aeriel Snyder (55th, 29:20.60), and Alexis Dean (60th, 30:15.15) finished the IU East runners.
