Cross Country: IU East at Nike XC Town Twilight Recap
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's cross country team added another victory to its resume as the Red Wolves won the Nike XC Town Twilight on Friday, Sept. 29.
It was second straight victory for the IU East men, who won the Midway University Invitational last weekend.
On the women's side, the Red Wolves finished fourth of nine teams.
The Red Wolves had two men finish in the top 10 with Mylan Nocton finishing second out of 183 runners with a time of 25:43.3, while Tucker Burris was seventh at 26:03.0.
Other times for the men were Cameron Nocton 26:19.1 (14th), Teagen Rodriguez 26:20.3 (16th), Richard Bower 26:26.1 (22nd), Braden Coate 27:00.4 (34th), Wyatt Beck 27:34.2 (50th), Ian Davis 27:36.7 (52nd), Kyle Stanley 27:48.8 (58th), Caden Shumaker 28:18.8 (77th), Ryan Schindler 28:35.8 (86th), Carter Walsman 28:55.1 (94th), Denis Kale 29:10.7 (99th), Dixon Minton 30:09.8 (127th), AJ Ludwig 31:06.5 (144th) and Austin Wenta 32:08.7 (152nd).
Cassandra Schrubb topped the IU East women's squad with 23:42.8, which put her in 11th place.
Running for the IU East women were Chloe Scales 24:02.7 (16th), Makenzee Kahn 24:35.3 (23rd), Julia Arruda 25:54.0 (47th), Brooklyn Miras 26:06.1 (50th), Maddy Wolf 26:16.3 (53rd), Sarah Kwiatkowski 26:24.7 (55th), Abby Page 26:28.8 (57th), Rylee Raymond 26:39.4 (58th), Hannah Best 28:25.6 (83rd), Alexis Dean 28:35.0 (84th) and Anna Johnston 29:35.3 (96th).
The next meet for the Red Wolves is the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Mich.
