NAIA Marathon: Men Finish First, Women Third

DALLAS – For the second year in a row, the IU East men's team has won the NAIA Marathon Classic championship, while the women finished third.

 

The team of Cameron Nocton, Richard Bower, Axton Fosnaugh and Mylan Nocton all finished in the Top 6.

 

Cameron won the event with a time of 2 hours, 27 minutes and 25 seconds. Five seconds later, Bower finished for second. Fosnaugh later came through with a time of 2:27:47 for third overall. Finishing sixth overall was Mylan with a time of 2:29:13.

 

The Red Wolves earned a total of six points, defeating Campbellsville who finished second with 23.

 

On the women's side, Chloe Scales finished first for the Red Wolves in 12th place with a time of 3:12:56. Samantha Fowler was next with a time of 3:18:14, good for 19th. Ella Claypoole (3:21:26, 22nd), Sophie Harris (3:22:53, 25th), and Makenzee Kahn (3:24:26, 27th) rounded out the women's runners.

 

The Red Wolves finished in third with 28 points, five points behind Evergreen State with 23.
