Men's Cross Country: Red Wolves Win ONU Midwest Classic
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Indiana University East men's cross country team had five runners in the top 10 as the Red Wolves won the Olivet Nazarene University Midwest Classic on Friday, Sept. 19.
Mylan Nocton finished first for the Red Wolves with a time of 26:09.70 in the 8K race on the Aspen Ridge Golf Course. The others in the top 10 were Cameron Nocton (26:30.20, 4th), Conner Walser (26:34.50, 5th), Axton Fosnaugh (26:42.40, 8th) and Thomas Hogan (26:43.60, 9th).
Rounding out the top seven for IU East were Max Kline (26:52.30, 12th) and Richard Bower (27:10.30, 21st).
The Red Wolves had 27 points as they were followed by Cornerstone 53, Olivet Nazarene 75, Governors State 122, Joliet Junior College 166, Harper College 168, Hanover 191, Macomb CC 192 and
Trinity Christian 246.
IU East's other competitors were Tucker Burris (27:27.80, 25th), Vance Dougherty (27:54.70, 34th), Akot Tong (28:20.20, 45th), Hunter Allen (28:36.60, 49th), Justin Zorn (28:36.80, 50th), Gabe Reynolds (28:57.70, 61st), DeAndre Hall (29:01.30, 65th), Beck Wilson (29:02.60, 66th), Alex Rost (29:17.20, 73rd), Jonah Bailey (29:21.40, 74th), Keaton Walker (29:38.80, 77th) and Austin Wenta (36:30.80, 121st).
Next up for the Red Wolves is the SWAGS Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday, Oct. 4.
