Cross Country: Wildcat Twilight Invitational Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East cross country teams begin the 2025 season in the Wildcat Twilight Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan University on Friday, Sept. 5.

The 6K women's race gets underway at 6 p.m., while the 8K men's event is scheduled for 6:40 p.m.

On the men's side, the host Wildcats are No. 8 in the nation as the Red Wolves come into the affair ranked 13th in the country. Taylor University's men are ranked third.

Indiana Wesleyan's women are ranked 11th in the latest poll as top-ranked Taylor will also compete.

The IWU Cross Country Course is located at the corner of 50th Street and Harmon Street just south of the Indiana Wesleyan campus in Marion, Ind.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* The IU East men's squad was fourth last fall in this event as the women were eighth out of 22 schools.

* Individually, Mylan Nocton led the Red Wolves in the men's race as he was ninth with a time of 25:19.1.

* Chloe Scales is the leading returner for the IU East women from last year's race as she was 40th in 24:38.9.
