Men's Cross Country: IU East Finishes Fourth in NAIA Great Lakes Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Indiana University East men's cross country team finished fourth in a field featuring 11 ranked squads in the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 25.

The No. 10 Red Wolves had 186 points behind No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan University 79, No. 5 Taylor University 122 and No. 14 Rocky Mountain University 142. No. 8 Marian University was fifth with 200 points. Mehdi Nait Hamoud of Madonna University was the top individual with a time of 24:18.10 at Riverside Park.

Cameron Nocton led the Red Wolves with a career best 8K time of 24:55.30 in the Maroon Race.

The other times for the Red Wolves among the 204 runners were Mylan Nocton 25:00.50 (30th), Thomas Hogan 25:05.70 (38th), Max Kline 25:07.40 (42nd), Conner Walser 25:19.80 (52nd), Richard Bower 25:22.40 (58th), Axton Fosnaugh 25:49.70 (95th), Gabe Reynolds 25:50.10 (96th) and Hunter Allen 25:57.00 (112th).

Next up for IU East is the River States Conference Championships at the University Rio Grande on Saturday, Nov. 8.
