Men's Cross Country: IU East Second at RSC Championships

RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The Indiana University East men's cross country was the runner-up at the 2025 River States Conference Championships at the University of Rio Grande on Saturday, Nov. 8.

The No. 17 RedStorm finished with 38 points on their home course as the No. 11 Red Wolves were next with 42 points followed by Shawnee State University at 60. IU East remains alive for a spot the national meet as the at-large bids will be announced on Nov. 11.

Rio Grande's Tyler Jenkins won the 8K race with a time of 25:01.00 in a field of 122 runners.

IU East had two All-RSC First Team performers as Cameron Nocton was fifth with a time of 25:46.57. Max Kline, who was also the RSC Newcomer of the Year, finished sixth at 25:52.42. The duo also qualified for the national meet at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida on Friday, Nov. 21.

There were four IU East runners on the All-RSC Second Team led by Mylan Nocton, who was eighth at 25:59.95. The others were Richard Bower (11th, 26:05.92), Akot Tong (12th, 26:14.26) and Axton Fosnaugh (14th, 26:24.22).

Thomas Hogan (17th, 26:33.37), Gabe Reynolds (18th, 26:38.89) and Conner Walser (21st, 26:54.31) represented the Red Wolves on the All-RSC Third Team. Reynolds was picked to be IU East's Champion of Character.

The other runners for the Red Wolves were Hunter Allen (24th, 27:00.04), Justin Zorn (30th, 27:25.63), Jonah Bailey (34th, 27:40.51), Alex Rost (38th, 27:49.39), DeAndre Hall (39th, 27:54.49), Keaton Walker (41st, 28:04.39), Beck Wilson (44th, 28:05.02), Tucker Burris (49th, 28:18.04), Gavin Ashby (63rd, 28:59.71) and Austin Wenta (105th, 31:59.41).
