Men's Cross Country: IU East at NAIA National Championships Preview
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's cross country team is headed to Florida for the NAIA National Championships on Friday, Nov. 21.
The No. 11 Red Wolves received an at-large for the second year in a row to compete as a team.
The men's 8K race at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee starts at 9:30 a.m. The women's 6K race begins the day at 8:30 a.m. An awards ceremony is planned for 11 a.m.
IU East finished second at the 2025 River States Conference Championships hosted by the University of Rio Grande on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Cameron Nocton was fifth with a time of 25:46.57 to lead IU East, while Max Kline finished sixth at 25:52.42 as both were All-RSC First Team.
Mylan Nocton (8th, 25:59.95), Richard Bower (11th, 26:05.92), Akot Tong (12th, 26:14.26) and Axton Fosnaugh (14th, 26:24.22) were each on the All-RSC Second Team.
Thomas Hogan (17th, 26:33.37), Gabe Reynolds (18th, 26:38.89) and Conner Walser (21st, 26:54.31) were on the All-RSC Third Team. Hunter Allen (24th, 27:00.04) is also competing for IU East.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW
* IU East finished 16th in 2024 at the NAIA National Championships in Missouri.
* The Red Wolves were 30th in 2022 at Apalachee Regional Park, which was the first time they qualified as a team.
* Mylan Nocton is IU East's only All-American in cross country as he makes his fourth appearance at nationals. He ran a 24:36.8 last season to finish 35th of 331 runners to earn the designation that is for the top 40 competitors. In addition to the three visits with the team, he qualified as an individual in 2023.
