Farris Scores 30 in Loss to SMWC

ST MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – Taylor Farris scored a game-high 30 points but a big second quarter from the Pomeroys proved to be too much for the Red Wolves as they were defeated by SMWC 87-66.

 

The loss is the first in conference play for the Red Wolves. The Pomeroys improved to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

 

Davina Smith was the other Red Wolf in double figures with 12 points.

 

After a close first quarter, the Pomeroys outscored the Red Wolves 29-17 in the second. The Red Wolves shot 42 percent from the floor but SMWC shot 53 percent from the floor and 6-of-13 from beyond the arc.

 

The Red Wolves will be back on the court Wednesday, Dec. 6 as they travel to Michigan-Dearborn. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
