Women's Basketball: Brescia 69, IU East 59
OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Indiana University East women's basketball team had a pair of players in double digits as the Red Wolves fell 69-59 at Brescia University on Friday, Jan. 23.
IU East is now 8-11 overall and 4-4 in the River States Conference, while Brescia is 15-5 and 6-2 with the win in the Moore Center.
Peyton Wells scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead IU East as Trinity Archey added 11 points.
Lexi Cole finished with nine points for the Red Wolves as Alexis Gibbons tossed in eight. Maggie Anderson had seven.
After trailing 16-13 at the first stop, the Red Wolves led 32-29 by halftime. In the second half, the Bearcats were able to bounce back on the way to the victory.
The Red Wolves are scheduled to be back in action at home against Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday, Jan. 27. The RSC affair on Lingle Court begins at 6 p.m.
