Women's Basketball: IU East 64, Kentucky Christian 40
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's basketball team picked up a 64-40 victory over Kentucky Christian University on Thursday, Jan. 29.
With the River States Conference win on Lingle Court, IU East is 9-11 overall and 5-4 in the league. Kentucky Christian falls 6-14 and 2-7.
Peyton Wells led the Red Wolves with 19 points, while Taylor Farris recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Also for IU East, Gracie Kramer and Maggie Anderson both tossed in eight points.
The Red Wolves finished the opening quarter on top 17-8 before the Knights cut their deficit to 24-21 by halftime. IU East was able to take control by the third stop with 41-27 advantage.
Next up for IU East is another home contest as the Red Wolves welcome IU Columbus on Saturday, Jan. 31. The RSC affair starts at 1 p.m.
