Women's Basketball: IU East 80, IU Columbus 60
RICHMOND, Ind. - With five players in double figures, the Indiana University East women's basketball team picked up an 80-60 victory over IU Columbus on Saturday, Jan. 31.
IU East is now 10-11 overall with a 6-4 mark in the River States Conference after the win on Lingle Court. IU Columbus falls to 5-17, 3-7.
Taylor Farris led the Red Wolves with 21 points as Maggie Anderson finished with 12.
Peyton Wells and Gracie Kramer both added 11 points apiece, while Trinity Archey contributed 10 points.
After being tied 15-15 at the end of the opening period, IU East rallied to build a 40-29 advantage by halftime. The Red Wolves took control of the affair 68-47 heading into the final quarter.
A third straight win will be the goal for the Red Wolves as they visit Midway University, Tuesday, Feb. 3. The RSC matchup begins at 6 p.m.
