Women's Basketball: Shawnee State 91, IU East 77

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's basketball team dropped a 91-77 decision on Lingle Court to Shawnee State University on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

The Red Wolves are now 11-13 overall and 7-6 in the River States Conference. Shawnee State is 18-7 and 9-4 in the league.

Peyton Wells led IU East with 24 points and five assists.

Taylor Farris finished with 19 points for the Red Wolves, while Maggie Anderson added 13 points with a team-high six rebounds.

IU East led 20-15 after the first period before going into halftime on top 48-46.

The contest remained tight in the third quarter, but Shawnee State had a slim 67-65 edge heading into the final stanza when the Bears were able to pull away for the win.

Next up for the Red Wolves is another RSC affair at home against IU Southeast on Saturday, Feb. 14. The contest gets underway at 1 p.m.
