Women's Basketball: IU Southeast 78, IU East 75

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's basketball team came up just short as the Red Wolves fell 78-75 to IU Southeast on Saturday, Feb. 14.

It was Senior Day for IU East as Taylor Farris, Gracie Kramer, Minaxi Pandey and Peyton Wells were each recognized after the contest on Lingle Court.

IU East is now 11-14 overall with a 7-7 mark in the River States Conference, while the Grenadiers are 14-12 and 10-4.

Farris led the Red Wolves with 21 points and seven rebounds.

Wells finished with 17 points as Kramer added 10 points and a team-high five assists.

After IU Southeast scored the first nine points of the affair, the Red Wolves fought back into the fourth quarter to take a 73-71 lead when Lexi Cole hit a pair of free throws with 50 seconds remaining. IU Southeast was able to hang on in the final moments.

The Red Wolves play their final home game of the regular season against the University of Rio Grande on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
