Women's Basketball: No. 8 Rio Grande at IU East Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's basketball team welcomes the University of Rio Grande to Lingle Court on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

IU East's final home game of the regular season against the No. 8 ranked RedStorm starts at 6 p.m.

The Red Wolves are 11-14 overall and 7-7 in the River States Conference after a 78-75 loss at home to IU Southeast last weekend.

Rio Grande is 25-1 as the RedStorm have clinched the RSC East title at 14-0. Rio Grande has won 16 in a row including a 96-53 victory over IU Kokomo at home on Saturday, Feb. 14.

* Rio Grande won the earlier contest against the Red Wolves 105-60 back in January.

* Taylor Farris topped IU East with 21 points and seven rebounds against IU Southeast.

* Also in the IU Southeast affair, Peyton Wells had 17 points and Gracie Kramer finished with 10 points.

* Marlee Grinstead led Rio Grande with 21 points in the win over IU Kokomo.
