Women's Golf: Red Wolves Classic Day 2 Recap
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's golf team finished third the Red Wolves Fall Classic at Highland Lake Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 3.
The Red Wolves carded a 333-336-669 as Midway University won the two-day event with a 323-311-634.
Liv Sanders led the Red Wolves with an 81-81-162 to finish ninth. She was followed by Brooklynn Cromwell 86-79-165, 13th), Katie Craig 78-88-166, 15th), Jalyn Bruns (88-88-176), Josalyn Lewis (90-86-176) and Megan Schrier (100-93-193).
"Really happy for Jozzy and Megan shooting their career lows today," IU East coach Billy Mullin said. "Especially, Jozzy playing through an injury."
"It was nice to see Brooklynn bounce back from yesterday and Liv remained consistent," Mullin added. "We are dealing with multiple injuries and we've got to work our way through it. I'm looking forward to seeing this team improve."
Schrier is in her second season at IU East.
"It felt really good to play how I've always known I could, she said. "I hit my ball really well off the tee, but I was having a hard time putting today. It's always great to preform well in a home tournament."
Next up for the Red Wolves is the Player's Club Invitational in Yorktown, Ind. Taylor University is the host for the tournament on Sept. 9-10.
