Women's Golf: Players Club Invitational Day 1 Recap
YORKTOWN, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's golf team opened The Players Club Invitational at Woodland Trails with two rounds on Friday, Sept. 9.
The No. 27 Red Wolves are currently 13th in the field that features nationally ranked squads, including host No. 16 Taylor University.
Brooklynn Cromwell led IU East through the first day with an 81-86-167.
Jalyn Bruns (86-84-170) was next for the Red Wolves followed by Katie Craig (90-82-172), Annie Gillock (87-86-173) and Josalyn Lewis (92-92-184).
No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan University tops the team leaderboard with a 292-291-583. Individually, Braedyn O'Dell of Indiana Wesleyan (68-74-142) has the best score after 36 holes.
IU East has a 344-338-682 heading into Saturday's final round, which gets underway at 8:30 a.m.
