Women's Golf: IU East at Earlham College Recap
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East golf team defeated Earlham College 346-449 at the Elks Country Club on April 7.
"It was cool and breezy evening," IU East coach Billy Mullin said. "I thought Annie Gillock played awfully well. She hit a lot of good golf shots tonight."
Gillock finished with an 81 to top the Red Wolves.
"It was a good day to get out on the golf course and put last weekend behind us," Gillock said. "We've been practicing hard this week and getting a lot of good reps in. I was able to put together a decent round today. I just had a couple holes that held me back today and didn't sink a few putts that were very makeable."
"I feel more confident in my game than I did a week ago," Gillock continued. "We've still got work to do to be where we need to be before conference, but this was a step in the right direction. I believe everyone on the team is working towards the same goal with the same amount of determination so the pieces will start falling together quick."
The other scores for IU East were Katie Craig 87, Josalyn Lewis 88 and Jalyn Bruns 90.
Next up for the Red Wolves is the IU East Spring Tournament at Forest Hills Country Club on April-14-15
