Women's Golf: RSC Championships Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's golf team is ready to defend its River States Conference Championship from last year on April 23-25.

The three-day, 54-hole event battle for RSC supremacy is at Belterra Resort in Florence, Ind.

IU East edged Midway University by two strokes (992-994) for the conference title in 2022.

The team champion and the individual medalist advance to the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship scheduled at the TPC Deere Run on May 23-26 in Silvis, Ill.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* IU East RSC day one tee times: Liv Sanders (noon), Jalyn Bruns (12:10 p.m.), Katie Craig (12:20 p.m.), Annie Gillock (12:30 p.m.) and Brooklynn Cromwell (12:40 p.m.).

* Cromwell was first-team all-conference last spring after finishing third on the individual leaderboard with a 249.

* Sanders finished sixth a year ago with a 251 to earn second-team all-conference honors.

* The Red Wolves won the IU East Spring Invitational last week with a score of 343-346-689 beating RSC foe IU Kokomo 343-347-690.

* Cromwell was the medalist in the IU East Spring Invitational with a 79-79-158 at Forest Hills Country Club.
