Women's Golf: IU East at LTU Spring Break Invitational Day 3 Recap

OPELIKA, Ala. - The Indiana University East women's golf team finished fifth as the Red Wolves wrapped up the Lawrence Technological University Spring Break Invitational on Thursday, March 12.

Peityn Gillman topped the Red Wolves making the all-tournament team as she tied for fifth.

"Today went well, but was much more challenging with the windy conditions," Gillman said. "My ball striking and chipping was good and gave me many looks at birdies. This was a fun tournament on a beautiful course, I couldn't ask for a better three days of golf."

Gillman carded an 85-74-80-239 at the Grand National Golf Club Lake Course.

"It was a great competitive experience here in Alabama," IU East coach Billy Mullin said. "We got three tournament rounds in on a world class golf course. Peityn was tougher than nails this week. I'm very proud of her for making the all-tournament team against a great field of players."

Jalyn Bruns (85-85-87-257, T24th) and Maddie Campbell (88-83-86-257, T24th) were next for IU East, while the other scores were Sophia Curry (92-76-95-263, 27th), Lainey Jackson (87-85-93-265, 28th), Ashlynne Osborne (91-91-93-275, T33rd), Reagan Brewer (91-97-89-277, 35th) and Lauren Lacey (102-98-94-294, 38th).
