Women's Golf: IU East at Heritage Hill Collegiate Day 1 Recap
SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. - The Indiana University East women's golf team is currently in fourth place as the Red Wolves take part in the Heritage Hill Collegiate.
Darkness prevented IU East's Peityn Gillman and Maddie Campbell from completing 36-holes at the Heritage Hill Golf Club on Friday, March 27.
The resumption of the second round of the event hosted by Lawrence Tech University starts Saturday at 10 a.m. The final round of the 54-hole tournament will follow.
Marian University led after the first round with a 294 and the Knights are currently five-over par as a team. The University of Northwestern Ohio is second at 330-319-649, which is 73-over par. Lawrence Tech is third with a 329 in the opening round and 75-over par in the second. IU East had a 334 as the Red Wolves are currently 79-over.
Gillman carded a 79 in the first round as she is tied for 8th with two holes remaining in the second. Maddie Campbell had a 92 in the first and she has one hole left in the second as she is 25th.
IU East's other scores are Ashlynne Osborne (83-78-161, T12th), Lainey Jackson (83-82-165, T16th), Jalyn Bruns (85-83-168, 21st), Reagan Brewer (85-84-169, T22nd) and Sophia Curry (87-83-170, 24th).
