Women's Golf: Goodwin Signs with Red Wolves

RICHMOND, Ind. – Indiana University East women's golf coach Billy Mullin announced that Centerville native Alex Goodwin will be joining the Red Wolves for the 2026-27 season.

"Being a local kid, I'm excited that Alex Goodwin is coming back home to finish her collegiate career," Mullin said. "Alex was a strong player in high school and she will give our young team a veteran presence. I'm looking forward to working with her and discovering her true potential."

Goodwin has spent the past two seasons at Franklin College where she finished in the top 10 in tournaments for the Grizzlies five times. She was also on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

"I am excited to get to know a new group of people and continue to play the sport that I have played all my life," said Goodwin, who will be a junior this fall.

A member of the National Honor Society at Centerville High School, Goodwin qualified for the Indiana state championships in 2022. Goodwin also reached in the regional round of the state tournament three times, while earning a spot on the All-Tri-Eastern Conference squad all four years of her high school career.

The daughter of Kelli and Chris Goodwin, she plans to study political science on a pre-law track.
