RICHMOND, Ind. - Jordan Miller, a senior at Brockport (N.Y.) High School, has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Indiana University East starting with the 2020-21 school year.

"We are excited to have Jordan Miller joining our program," said IU East coach Shane Meridith. "She is very proficient technically and can find little open pockets of space in the midfield, allowing her to play quickly and create the rhythm we are looking for from our central players. In addition, she is solid with both feet, possessing good range of passing, allowing her to involve a lot of teammates into the attack."

Miller was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for Brockport's soccer program. She recorded four goals and distributed 15 assists during her high school career. She was a four-time state association scholar-athlete, a county scholar-athlete as a senior, and a member of the 2019 Monroe County Exceptional Senior Soccer Team.

Miller played club soccer for Rochester Lancers Soccer Academy. She served as a team captain for the past three seasons and accumulated 11 goals and 36 assists.

Jordan is the daughter of Raymond and Doou Miller. She plans to major in Mathematics. She served as an officer in Brockport's Key Club, National Honor Society, Yearbook Club and Spanish Travel Club. She also found time to compete in track and field.

"I chose IU East because of the opportunities and resources the math and soccer programs offered me," Miller wrote. "During my visit, everyone made me feel that this is the school for me."

Miller joins a rapidly growing 2020 IU East women's soccer recruiting class.

IU East is an NAIA program. The Red Wolves won the River States Conference Championship and advanced to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship in 2019 in what was just the third season for the Red Wolf program.

Indiana University East leads the region as the premier four-year and master's public institution in eastern Indiana and western Ohio. With enrollment of nearly 3,700 students, IU East is both a traditional campus that excels in innovative learning options and a virtual campus with select online degree completion programs. The university's customized bachelor's and master's programs – a portfolio of over 60 academic offerings – anticipate the growing needs of citizens in the region, state and nation.
