Women's Soccer: IU East 1, IU Kokomo 1

CENTERVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with IU Kokomo in the River States Conference Match of the Week on Thursday, Oct. 30.

IU East is now 9-5-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the league. IU Kokomo remains in second in the RSC at 6-1-2 with an overall mark of 9-4-4. Oakland City University leads the way at 12-2-2 and 8-0-1.

The Red Wolves are in a tie for third place with WVU Tech (9-4-3, 6-2-1) and the University of Rio Grande (8-4-5, 6-2-1) heading into their final contest of the regular season at Midway University on Saturday, Nov. 1. The match on the Midway Turf Field is at 5 p.m.

Rylee Meyer scored for the Red Wolves against IU Kokomo at the 50:12 mark with Lily Hart and Asia Espiritu assisting on the play.

The Cougars tied the affair at Centerville High School with an unassisted goal by Avery Wilson at 78:44.

The quarterfinals of the RSC Championships are set to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The pairings will be determined after Saturday's results. The top two seeds earn a bye in the RSC Quarterfinal round and will host Wednesday's winners on Saturday, Nov. 8.
