Women's Tennis: IU East 7, Alice Lloyd 2

PIPPA PASSES, Ky. - The Indiana University East women's tennis team concluded the regular season with a 7-2 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win at Alice Lloyd College on Oct. 18.

The Red Wolves (5-7, 2-3) climbed into a tie for third place in the final KIAC regular season standings. It's the first top-three KIAC finish for IU East since 2011.

Alice Lloyd is 0-5.

Freshmen Sally Wilhoite (Connersville, Ind./Connersville High School) and Madison Bixler (Greenville, Ohio/Greenville High School) and sophomore Jordyn Bowman (New Castle, Ind./Tri High School) won in singles for IU East.

Freshmen Rebecca and Sarah Lockhart (Oxford, Ohio/Talawanda High School) won in doubles.

IU East will face Brescia University in the KIAC tournament quarterfinals on Oct. 23. Match time will be noon IU East time. The tournament will be played at the Centre Court tennis facility in Owensboro, Ky.
