Women's Volleyball: IU East 3, Kentucky Christian 0
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's volleyball team finished its regular season with a 25-23, 25-13, 25-16 Senior Day victory on Lingle Court over Kentucky Christian University on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Winners of seven in a row, IU East is 18-16 overall and 11-5 in the River States Conference. Kentucky Christian is 11-20, 3-13.
The Red Wolves open the RSC Championships with a quarterfinal contest at IU Southeast on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The affair is scheduled for 7 p.m.
On Saturday, seniors Ella Bickel and Carli Cox were honored before the match.
Amyra Lockett would lead IU East with nine kills, while Alayna Barrett added eight kills. Noema Philistin-Lynch had seven kills as Brooklyn Taylor finished with six. Aislyn Hogan had 32 assists.
Bickel recorded 20 digs. The defensive specialist is now just 17 away from becoming IU East's all-time leader in digs as she closes in on Kristin Waechter's total of 2,372 from 2009-12.
